Medical Services Provided for Rescued Animals (included in your fee)
 

• Animals six months of age or older are spayed or neutered before going to their new homes. 

• ALL Lake Haven animals under six months of age will not be adopted until they have been spayed or neutered. Normally this takes place between 10 to 12 weeks old.

• All cats/kittens are tested for feline immunodeficiency (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV) viruses, in addition to vaccinations.  They are wormed, bathed and treated for any parasites.

• All adult dogs are tested for heartworm and vaccinated for rabies and distemper/parvo.  Puppies are vaccinated and wormed.

 

All of the dogs at Lake Haven have been tested for heartworm, are up to date on vaccines and started on flea and tick prevention. If they are not already spayed or neutered a voucher will be provided at the time of adoption to cover the cost of the spay/neuter surgery.
